Port de l'Ilon to ghetto Le Pecq

Sunday morning we woke to eery fog, making it impossible to get the planned early start needed to make our RDV with the Kirbys at a reasonable time. Eventually the fog cleared and we were underway by 10.45

More locks today (easy now!) and gorgeous sun, no pressure over timings as Vicky already let us know she would meet us whenever we arrived.

We eventually came to our arranged meeting spot, chosen off the French navigation chart, to find it was a corrugated iron wall, completely overgrown with weeds, and not a bollard in sight to attach to... Better push on!

So we continued on to Le Pecq and there was a mooring of sorts - concrete pillars, covered in graffiti, underneath a municipal car park, where the local youth hang out. Still, the Police station was there too (although closed!) and a large supermarket nearby meant it wasn't a really bad spot to moor.

 Stealth mooring!
 Welcome to Paris!

Had a great catch up with Vicky, although we arrived too late for Sam and the kids to come over too, but a bit of a rough night from the wash of the passing barges.

We had put a sign 'Attention - chien méchant' (Nasty Dog) on the door to ward off any threats, except had forgotten to pick her toys up off the deck, and as soon as the first barge wash hit us she was in our cabin trembling like a kitten, so not really up to the task set her on this occasion!
