Port de l'Arsenal to Port aux Cerises

View from our mooring
We stayed a second night in the centre of Paris, after a bbq lunch - and had such a near miss on catching up with Kev last night, but technology let me down on that one - sorry Kev :-(

Met a couple on their way up through the canals to the UK from the Med who filled us in on some great stopping places once we're in the canals, all useful info!

Late start out as only a short trip planned - to Port aux Cerises, 91210 Draveil. We had to make a definitive choice about our route - taking a right to stay on the Seine rather than the Marne, and went through two locks before our destination.

Left - La Marne, Right - La Seine
Last Lock of the day
First casualty - stabbed a fender on the pontoon cleat, went with more of a wimper than a bang. Hey-ho!

Port aux Cerises is a bit how I imagine Pontins to be, wide open park lands, lots of kids activities and a little train, with a little port on the side! Roxy loving the park and a swim in the lake, before being chased off by a small yappy type dog!

Salmon on the barbie tonight, getting ready for a busy day tomorrow - Paris is a city of bridges (and buildings covered in turf, swimming pool barges and crazy boats?!), but now we're out of town there are lots of locks on the near horizon!
