Waved off on the quay by great friends and quay neighbours,
we trucked out of Antibes a smidge behind schedule, stopping on the fuel quay
to hand in our meter readings at the Capitainerie, and to advise they should
hold off on filling our space over the winter, since we had just received a
call from an interested party who needed a space urgently! As ours was
definitely empty, as of this morning, and the cheapest, we had everything
crossed a sale was in the near future...
Not the smoothest of journeys, so we headed straight for
Cannes – didn’t we say we’re not in a rush?! The initial berth we were given
was challenging to say the least, and way too small, but a visit to the Capitainerie
got us a move to a better place, on the understanding that we couldn’t stay too
long, with the Voiles de Cannes regatta arriving over the weekend. Free Wifi
& access to sanitaires - bonus!
A’s back is playing up, which is a less than great start to
the holiday, but a night out on the town with Jules & Nik went a good way to
remedying it – and we extended our Cannes visit by a night to each get an
osteopathic ‘Nik fix’ each – thank you Nik X
Bonus – we accepted an offer on the space in Antibes, youpi!
