We started out later than we planned, throwing off our lines
at 10.40, and out into swell which quickly calmed to a lovely morning, although
eyes were peeled for floating debris from the storm.
Having called in advance for a space, we had been advised
not to leave it too late, as there was only one available, and it was not
reserved for us – but despite the short distance travelled, we were moored up
on the visitors pontoon at 12.15, and had to wait for the capitainerie to
reopen after lunch at 2pm. We trundled round to our spot, and finding it
occupied we took its neighbour, only to be advised by the capitainerie that
this was permanently occupied, and therefore the only space they had for us was
back on the visitors pontoon.
Mooring side to was a bit of a treat, but with a Mistral
coming we knew a more protected spot was our best option, so this was to be a
one night only stop over.
