Ile Sainte Marguerite

10.30 Engines started – extra deck hand with Dad on board.

All hands took a stint at the helm, and we were anchored off the island by 12.10

We took two tender runs in, J & Roxy dropped off by A, and then Dad rowing A in – our outboard is currently on strike, so the boys were working up their appetites for delicious pizza and Moules-Frites.

Roxy joined in with the swimming & paddle boarding – now a master water-hound! We took some excellent pictures in the clear water, although by the time we returned with a camera the octopus who had been hugging our anchor had skedaddled, and there were a few jellyfish who left a few scars.

Dad flaked the anchor chain (a simultaneously unlucky draw of task & demonstration of gentlemanly conduct), leaving J manning the remote and A at the helm, when we headed for home at 15.45.

We were moored, rinsed and stowed by 18.00, when Dad set off on a provisions run so we could all raise a glass to an awesome day out.
